You could give it a try. It should be ok. I make my broccoli casserole with precooked white rice and it turns out great.

I have told everyone I know about this recipe. Tried it for dinner Tuesday and I was blown away. I had the leftovers for lunch today and I’m so sad that it’s gone! So easy – love that it’s all in one dish. Will be printing and adding to my recipe binder. I plan on making this very often. It’s so good. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful recipe!!!
