Did you see the cute little Pokemon Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies that I made the other day?

My son, LOVED them! He is crazy about Pokémon right now!

We’ve got Pokemon stuffed animals, Pokémon cards, Pokemon games, Pokemon Shirts, Pokemon PJs…EVERYTHING! haha

Since I’m working with my little guy this year, to feature some easy and fun Pokémon recipes, I thought these Pokémon PokeBall Dipped Oreo Cookies would be great!

Here’s to our second Mommy and Son, Pokémon recipe! I’m sure I’ll share more here and over at BigBearsWife.com if they’re more homemade type recipes.

Ingredients For Pokémon Pokeball Dipped Oreo Cookies:

• Oreo Cookies or other Chocolate Sandwich Cookie
• Red Candy Melts
• White Candy Melts
• Black Candy Melts

Sure! Just make sure they are round cookies!

How To Make Pokémon Poke Ball Dipped Oreo Cookies:

Now we just place them with a little Pikachu and Squirtle and BOOM, the perfect Pokemon party cookies!

Pokémon Poke Ball Dipped Oreo Cookies

Pokémon Poke Ball Dipped Oreo Cookies

Yield: 30 Cookies

Melt Time: 6 minutes

Decorating Time: 15 minutes

Dry Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 51 minutes

Pokémon Poke Ball Dipped Oreo Cookies are super easy to make and would be super cute for a Pokémon party!

Ingredients

• 30 Oreo Cookies (or any chocolate sandwich cookie)
• 12 ounces red candy melts
• 12 ounces white candy melts
• 6 ounces black candy melts

Instructions

1. Melt Red Candy Melts according to package directions.
2. Dip each OREO halfway into the melted red candy melts and place it on a sheet of parchment paper.
3. Let red candy melt OREOS and sit for a few minutes to dry and harden.
4. Once dry the red is dry, melt the white candy melts according to the package directions.
5. Dip the bottom half of each OREO into the white candy melts.
6. DON'T TOSS THE REMAINING MELTED WHITE CANDY MELTS! - You'll need these for the center of the poke balls later.
7. Place candy-melt-coated Oreos on parchment paper and let them dry and harden for a few minutes.
8. Melt the black candy melts according to package directions.
9. Pour the black candy melts into a piping bag or a ziplock bag.
10. Snip the end of the bag and pipe a black stripe across the center of each Poke ball where the white and red meet.
11. Also, pipe a circle of black candy melts in the center of the cookie.
12. Remelt the remaining white candy melts if needed and pour it into a piping bag or a ziplock bag.
13. Snip the end of the bag and pipe a white circle in the middle of the chocolate circle to finish the Poke Ball.
14. Let Poke Balls sit and dry until candy melts harden.

There are two things my son loves the most right now and those two things are “Anything Pokémon” and “Making Cookies“.

We have so many Pokémon stuffed animals that he has filled a tiny tent with them and the binder of perfectly sorted Pokémon cards (thanks to Mom)…..we won’t even talk about that. haha

This year, J wanted to help out with the blog some so I thought maybe we could feature some easy and fun Pokémon recipes since that is his obsession right now. He loves coming up with ideas my blog and it’s so sweet (he’s 7).

Pokémon recipes sound like the perfect series to work on with him.

So when I saw these Pokémon sugar cookies in Target, I KNEW that I had to get them because we had to make our favorite Semihomemade Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies! We made a Halloween version of these cookies a few years ago and now J and I make them for every holiday!

So why do we use two types of cookie dough when we could just bake the Pokémon sugar cookies like the come in the packets?

Well, these pre-cut and ready to bake sugar cookies don’t seem to hardly spread at all when you bake them. So if you put them on top of the chocolate chip cookie dough (that does spread into a nice-sized cookie), they turn into a perfect Pokémon cookie!

I’m sure you can make these with other pre-cut cookie doughs but I haven’t tested it with any other brands.

Easiest Pokémon Cookies Ever

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 22 minutes

Easiest Pokémon Cookies Ever – Pikachu and Poké Ball Cookies – premade chocolate chip cookie dough and premade Pikachu and Poké Ball sugar cookie dough comes together to make some of the Pokémon Inspired Cookies that you’ll ever make.

Ingredients

• 24 Pack Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
• 20 Pack Pillsbury Pre-Cut Pokémon Sugar Cookie Dough

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Open Pack Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
3. Two squares of dough will equal one cookie. Roll 2 squares into a ball and then slightly flatten them into a round cookie shape.
4. Lay cookie dough on a prepared baking sheet.
5. Place 1 pre-cut Pokémon sugar cookie on top of each chocolate chip cookie dough round.
6. Bake in a preheated oven for 12 minutes.
7. Remove and let cool

Notes

Don't worry if they're PUFFY when you pull them out of the oven. They will cool down flat.
