Which Brands Did I Use For This Recipe?
Sometimes when it comes to Semihomemade recipe that use packaged foods to create meals, the brands of items can make or break a dish. I don’t think this ALWAYS happens but I do know that not all packaged items are created equally.
Frozen French Fries – I’m sure any frozen french fries will work for this recipe, but I used Grown In Idaho Fries, Hand Cut Style.
Ranch Seasoning – Hidden Valley Original Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix Packet
For the Dipping Sauce:
Mayonnaise – Duke’s Mayonnaise
Ketchup – Heinz Tomato Ketchup
What Other Fries Could I Use For These Oven Baked French Fries?
You could use the hand cut fries for this recipe or you could use something like steak fries, potato wedges or crinkle cut fries.
How To Make Baked Ranch French Fries with Dipping Sauce:
-
Preheat the oven and lets get started on this super easy appetizer or side dish.
-
Lay frozen fries out into a single layer. If you want to spray them with a cooking spray you can, but I haven’t found a need to do that when I make these.
-
Sprinkle 1/2 the packet of ranch seasoning over fries. Toss to coat evenly.
-
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until brown and crispy.
- For The Dipping Sauce:
Mix mayo and ketchup together and stir in 1/2 packet of ranch dressing mix seasoning until combined.

Can I Use A Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix For This Recipe?
- You sure can! I’ve got a ranch mix that I use on my Air Fryer Ranch Chickpeas that would work on this recipe. If you’re not using the seasoning packet, you’ll need about 1 tablespoon of seasoning for the fries and 1 tablespoon of seasoning for the dip
