Creepy, Spooky and Super tasty! Don’t be scared of these blood splatter treats! We’re making some Halloween donuts with an easy powdered sugar glazed and using red food coloring to mimic blood splatter.
These donuts would be great for a Halloween breakfast or Halloween dessert. Perfect treat for co-workers and kids!

How to make Blood Splatter Donuts:

Start with premade or homemade donuts! Donuts from the donut shop or the grocery store will work fine for this recipe.
- Making the donut glaze
In a medium size bowl add the powdered sugar and half of the milk.

Stir.

Add more milk and stir until a dippable consistency is achieved.

Dip tops of donuts into glaze and set on a wire rack.
- Making the blood splatter
Pour some of the red food coloring into a bowl and use a spoon or your fingers to flick red blood splatter over donuts.
I know this is weird advice haha but I found that the best looking blood splatter was achieved when I dipped my middle finger into the red food coloring and flicked it towards the donut with my thumb.

You may want to wear gloves to do the red food coloring to prevent your fingers from being stained.
