Blueberry Muffins might be one of the best flavors of muffins out there and with this great recipe for them, it’ll be easy to have them for breakfast whenever you want.
Since this is a semi homemade recipe blog, these muffins are starting with one of my favorite blueberry mixes. However, we’re not going to just leave them as is, we’re fresh blueberries and topping these muffins with a sugar crust!

* for the sugar you can use, white sugar, turbinado sugar or sanding sugars.

This is the blueberry muffin mix that I like to use when I make semi homemade blueberry muffins. The mix is super inexpensive and great to keep on hand in the pantry for breakfasts. Of course the muffins with the mix alone are good but I love the extra blueberries and sugar.
How to make The BEST Semi Homemade Blueberry Muffins:

Preheat oven to 400F.

Pour blueberries into a bowl and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of muffin mix. Stir gently until blueberries are coated.

Pour the rest of the blueberry muffin mix into a mixing bowl.
Add milk and whisk until just combined. Don’t over mix. -
Pour in blueberries and gently stir to combine.

Place muffin liners in a muffin tin.
Fill muffin tins full. -
Sprinkle tops of muffins with sugar.

Bake for 15 minutes.

- 7 ounce bag Martha White Blueberry muffin mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar*
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Pour blueberries into a bowl and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of muffin mix.
- Stir gently until blueberries are coated.
- Pour the rest of the blueberry muffin mix into a mixing bowl.
- Add milk and whisk until just combined. Don't over mix.
- Pour in blueberries and gently stir to combine.
- Place muffin liners in a muffin tin.
- Fill muffin tins full.
- Sprinkle tops of muffins with sugar.
