Ingredient amounts and entire recipe directions in recipe card below with print option!
Which Brands Did I Use For These Bloodshot Eyeball Cookies?
Sometimes when it comes to Semihomemade recipe that use packaged foods to create meals, the brands of items can make or break a dish. I don’t think this ALWAYS happens but I do know that not all packaged items are created equally.
Premade round cookies – I used snickerdoodle cookies from the Walmart bakery but you can really use any round cookie that you want to use.
White frosting – I used Pillsbury frosting
Red decorating gel – Great Value Decorating Gel (Walmart)
Candy Eyes – I found these at Walmart but you can use any kind of candy eye. You can find tons of candy eyes on Amazon too.

How To Make Bloodshot Eyeball Cookies:
-
Place a cookie on a flat surface.
Using a spoon or butter knife, spread white frosting over top of cookie.
-
Add candy eye ball to center of cookie.

-
Use red decorating gel to draw on “bloodshot” swiggly lines.

-
Continue until all cookies are done.

Can You Stack These Eyeball Cookies?
These cookies are decorated with cake frosting and red edible decorating gel, so they’re not really stackable nor will they have a hard finish like a Royal Icing sugar cookie.
If you want cookies that you can package or stack, you’ll need to decorate them with royal icing like I did with my favorite Heart Sugar Cookies.
Can I Use Homemade Cookies?
Absolutely! You could use homemade cookies, bakery cookie or packaged cookies for this treat.
