When I first heard about this pineapple angel food cake, I wasn’t sure if I believed that it would work. Cake mix and pineapples baked in a dish to create a cake just sounded a little odd but I had to give it a try.
I’m so glad I did. This Pineapple cake is so easy to make, full of pineapple flavor and my toddler loved helping me make it. I would say that this is a great recipes for kids to help with!

How to make Pineapple Angel Food Cake:

Preheat oven to 350F.

Dump Angel Food cake mix into a 9×13 pan.
Pour in crushed pineapple with the juices.
Stir until everything is combined. -
Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool. -
Once cooled, top with cool whip and drained pineapple chunks.

- 16 ounce box angel food cake mix
- 20 ounces crushed pineapple (not drained)
- 8 ounces cool whip, thawed
- 20 ounces pineapple chunks, drained
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Dump Angel Food cake mix into a 9x13 pan.
Pour in crushed pineapple with the juices.
Stir until everything is combined.
Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Once cooled, top with cool whip and drained pineapple chunks.
Notes
You could also add a layer of crushed pineapple and pudding on top of the cake before the cool whip, like we did in this Pina Colada Poke Cake recipe.
