Recipe At Bottom of Post
I’ve always been a fan of meatball subs and sliders! This is an easy semi homemade recipe for them that we love!
What you’ll need for Super Easy Baked Meatball Sliders:
- slider buns – we love the sweet Hawaiian Rolls
- frozen meatballs – cooked according to package directions
- pasta sauce
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- butter
- Italian seasoning
How to make Super Easy Baked Meatball Sliders:
Toss meatballs into a bowl that is filled with the pasta sauce. Toss to coat.
Place bottom halves of the rolls into a casserole dish. You can separate them or leave them them connected. I like to separate them. Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese over bottom halves of rolls.
Place a meatball on top of each roll with a bit of the pasta sauce. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the meatballs.
Place top of the rolls on top of the cheese layer. Brush melted butter over tops of rolls and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Cover with foil and bake 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and tops of buns are toasted.
Since this is a semi homemade recipe type blog, I did use frozen meatballs for this recipe. However, if you want to make your own homemade meatballs for this recipe, I have a recipe for Easy Italian Meatballs in Sauce Recipe on my other blog that would work perfectly for this recipe.

Can these be made ahead of time and kept refridgerated till its time to bake them?
You could but the only thing is that the sauce will probably make the bread super soggy. 🙁
Thank you for a super easy way to make sliders! I purchased the Simply Nature Organic Beef Meatballs from Aldi. Sauce is already included. They’re in the oven now. When they come out, I plan to brush with more butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Oh my mouth is watering with anticipation! TFS!
