Which Brands Did I Use For These Salmon Bites?
Sometimes when it comes to Semihomemade recipe that use packaged foods to create meals, the brands of items can make or break a dish. I don’t think this ALWAYS happens but I do know that not all packaged items are created equally.
Salmon Filet – I used a Coho salmon filet from our local grocery store
Teriyaki Sauce – I used Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
Rice for serving – Jasmine Rice – I like to use the Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice Jasmine Rice
How To Choose the Right Salmon:
To ensure your air fryer teriyaki salmon bites are as delicious as possible, it’s important to choose the right salmon. .
Look for fresh, wild-caught salmon that looks moist and make sure to avoid any salmon with brown spots on the middle or sides.
While you can use any type of salmon for this recipe, I’d recommend opting for a fattier variety like king or coho salmon for a richer, more flavorful bite.
Once you have your salmon, it’s time to move on to prep it and starting marinating.
How To Make :
-
Now that you have selected the perfect salmon for your air fryer teriyaki salmon bites, it’s time to marinate it.
-
Carefully, use a sharp knife and remove the skin from the salmon.
-
Then, cut the salmon in to bite sized pieces. I got about 10 pieces out of a 10oz piece of salmon.
-
Now it is time to marinate the salmon.
Don’t forget, this is a Semi Homemade Recipes blog so we’re taking short cuts here and we’re using a bottled teriyaki sauce. -
Start by placing the salmon into a large ziplock bag. Then, pour teriyaki sauce over the salmon, making sure to coat it on all sides.
-
Seal the bag and let the salmon marinate 15 minutes.
-
Now it’s time to air fry our bites.
-
Lay a single layer of salmon bites into the basket of the air fryer but make sure not to over crowd it. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in batches.
-
Turn the air fryer to 400F and cook for 6-7 minutes.
