Baked Chili Cheese Dogs are just perfect for busy weeknights when you’re trying to throw dinner on the table but they’re also perfect for parties!
While I normally keep these pretty simple by just adding ketchup, chili and cheese before baking them in the oven, you could really add any hot dog toppings that you want.
Ketchup and mustard would work inside the hot dogs and toppings could involve things like diced onions, Jalapeño peppers, and chives.

How to make Baked Chili Cheese Dogs:
- Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 375F.

Lay hot dog buns in a 9×13 baking dish.

Add ketchup and/mustard to inside of buns.

Frequently Asked Questions
You sure can! We just use the Jesse Jones hot dogs because that is what Thomas (my husband) loves. However, you could use Hebrew Nationals, or any kind of chicken dog.
I just like to add chili and cheese but you could also add diced onions, chives or Jalapeño peppers.
You can, but I don’t. I like for the hot dog buns to get a little crispy.

- 8 hot dog buns
- 10 ounce can chili
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ketchup and/mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Lay hot dog buns in a 9x13 baking dish.
- Add ketchup and/mustard to inside of buns.
- Add hot dog franks.
- Cover hot dog franks with chili.
- Add shredded cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
