This Baked Cheesy Tortellini Casserole is such an awesome and quick casserole to toss together got dinner and it taste fantastic.
I love pasta and cheesy pasta is always a favorite.

How To Make Baked Cheesy Tortellini Casserole:

Brown and season the ground beef or ground turkey in a large skillet.

Once meat is browned and drained, add pasta sauce.

Add in a can of diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano.

Add in soft cream cheese.

Stir until completely combined.

Add in cooked tortellini.

Stir until completely combined.

Pour into a 9×13 casserole dish.

Top with cheese.

Pop into a preheated oven for about 20 minutes until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted completely.

What is Tortellini?
Tortellini is a ring shaped pasta that is normally stuffed with cheese. It can come fresh, refrigerated or frozen.
Can I Use Homemade Pasta Sauce For This Recipe?
You can! I used a jarred pasta sauce to make this simple and quick but you can use whatever sauce you like. I have a great sauce recipe here if you need a homemade sauce recipe.

Baked Cheesy Tortellini Casserole
Ground Turkey (or ground beef), is seasoned and browned before being mixed together with spaghetti sauce, cream cheese and cheesy tortellini before being covered in cheese and baked in the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef OR ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 24 jar pasta sauce*
- 1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes, with basil, garlic and oregano
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 32 ounces frozen cheese tortellini
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a large skillet, add ground beef (or ground turkey) with the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion power.
- Cook and break apart on low-medium heat until meat is browned and completely cooked. Drain grease.
- Fill a large pot of with water and salt, and bring to a boil.
- While waiting on the water to boil for the pasta, work on the sauce.
- Add pasta sauce to ground meat and stir.
- Simmer sauce on a low-medium heat and stir in the cream cheese until melted and fully combined.
- Once water is boiling, add frozen cheese tortellini and cook for 3-4 minutes or until tortellini is cooked and starts to float.
- Once all pasta is cooked, drain and add to sauce.
- Stir to combine.
- Pour pasta and sauce into a 9x13 casserole dish.
- Cover pasta with 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Cook for about about 20 minutes to heat throughout and melt the cheese.
