Which Brands Did I Use For These Buffalo Chicken Crescent Rolls?
Sometimes when it comes to Semihomemade recipe that use packaged foods to create meals, the brands of items can make or break a dish. I don’t think this ALWAYS happens but I do know that not all packaged items are created equally.
Shredded Chicken – any chicken will work for this recipe. You can grab a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, roast up a whole chicken or even used canned chicken.
Cream Cheese – normally always use Philadelphia cream cheese but for baked recipes like this I think store brand works just as fine.
Buffalo sauce – I loe using my homemade buffalo sauce for my buffalo chicken recipes however, if you don’t want to use homemade sauce the bottled buffalo wing sauce from Sweet Baby Ray’s (Buffalo) is really good.
Chopped cilantro OR parsley – we’re using dried for this recipe, so any brand works.
Raw crescent roll dough – I can’t lie. I will use whatever is on sale haha but Pillsbury™ Crescent Rolls normally bake up better than store brands.
How To Make Buffalo Chicken Crescent Rolls:
-
Go ahead and get that oven preheated.
-
Add cooked chicken, cream cheese, Buffalo sauce, and cilantro (or parsley) to a mixing bowl.
-
Now mix cream cheese mixture up really good until it is fully combined.
-
Pop cans of dough open, then roll out and separate roll dough. For each one, spread Buffalo chicken mixture across the entire crescent roll triangle.
-
Roll the crescent roll tight with the short side of the triangle curling over at the end.
Curve the ends slightly creating a half-moon shape. Continue with all of the dough until entire filling is used. -
Place rolls on a baking sheet. An ungreased large cookie sheet or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper will work.
-
Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
Can I Make These Buffalo Chicken Crescent Rolls Ahead of Time?
If I was going to make this appetizer/snack ahead of time, what I would do it make the filling a few days ahead of time and pop it into the fridge in an airtight container.
Then the rolls themselves can be stuffed, rolled and baked a few hours before serving. I think these are best served warm or at room temperature and the day they are made. Of course they’re good reheated the next day but I find that they are best when fresh.

What Kind of Dip Should I Serve With Buffalo Chicken Rolls?
I personally love ranch dressing for dipping but you could also serve these Buffalo Chicken Crescent Rolls with a blue cheese dressing for dipping. I have a fantastic homemade ranch dressing recipe over on BigBearsWife.com that is perfect for dipping!
